Artist description
Hailing from the San Fernando Valley, The four members of The Undeclared have stuck around
since march of 2002. They have experimented with many styles and after playing many cover songs
and undergoing many song writing processes, 20 or so songs later, they have come up with a strong 11 or 12
songs with their own individual style, recieving influence from some of your well known punk legends
as well as some alternative artists or those known in the "Screamo" category such as Thrice. Experimentation
has caught the best of the undeclared and their original work has been developing continously. Download the
3 track demo and watch out for the new 5-track e.p due out soon during winter. Until then, preview all their new
songs at the El Rey Theatre on December 7 for the battle of the bands with about 40 others. This is an all day

Artist History
The band started in march of 2002 when the drummer was found in search of a fill-in for a battle of the bands. The band started to write originals soon after getting together and jamming and also started to cover bands such as blink182, green day, nofx, weezer, etc. As the band progressed and finally got some shows going around town at places such as the cobalt cafe, hot wired cafe, and a school gig, the band finally underwent a name change to the Undeclared in December of 2002. Before this, they were known as AXIS. In march of 2003 they recorded their 3 track demo and won the hearts of many friends and family as well as a Clothing sponsor and some recognition from A&R reps who do scouting for Island
Records and Def Jam. They have talked with M Productions in hopes of setting up shows in Hollywood and have been asked to do shows with bands such as Authority Zero, m80, The Bled, Silverstein, stretch armstrong, and many more. they Have played with Kill Radio, One Word Solution, 48 Mananas, Driven, and many more influential bands. They have recieved an opportunity to play at the hollywood palace for a huge battle of the bands in may of 2003 and debuted their new demo cd as well as new merchandise. They have been earning themselves a name in los angeles and there is much more to come from them with more show opportunities and a new 5 track cd that will be recorded partly at West Beach Recorders, the heart of where
of where bad religion has recorded, pennywise, sublime, blink182, and many more. Check them out on December 7 at the el Rey theatre for 12 bucks along with 40 or so other bands. This is going to be a great time so come out and support your local scene and the show that goes by "Exposure." |
