Artist History On the Brink is rock band from Dayton, Ohio (also the turf of Guided by Voices, The breeders and Brainiac) that combines emotion, and energy into catchy songs, and continues to not limit themselves and their music, by always keeping an open mind when writing their songs. On the Brink has played with such acts as Good Charlotte, Jimmy Eat World, Pete Yorn, Relient K, American Hi-Fi, Our Lady Peace and RUN DMC. Formed in 1995 when Adam and Zak met in high school, they both decided they wanted to make something of the band. Adding Colin to the line-up, they solidified their sound and began writing and performing original music. They recorded their first record, self-titled, under their former name of Electrolyte in 1998, selling almost 500 copies. (unfortunately the record is pretty much out of print) By 1999, On the Brink had begun playing out in Dayton and doing everything they could to get their music out. Local radio stations such as 103.9 WXEG and Cincinnati radio station 97x has featured their music on various shows and continue to help OTB get their name out.
