Press Reviews Music seems to all sound the same after a while. All bands in one genre all melt together and one particular band rarely sticks out. Creativity is hard to come by. But Lafayette has managed to create a sound unique to it’s genre. All five of the members in Lafayette have wanted to be in a hardcore band since they first started playing their instruments. Unhappy with their previous generic bands, the five musicians banded together to make their ideal band. The three guitar players of Lafayette craft intricate guitar parts that clutch the melody in a distinctive way. The drums and bass hold strong together to reinforce the backbone of the songs. On top of the complicated music in the background, the vocals go from heart felt screaming to heart felt singing in an instant. An animate live show is also an attribute that the band can add to its list of good characteristics.
