Artist History
In 1972, while JiMiRoYaL was in the garage band NW Fish, he wrote a rough version "Shake Up the People." Some of the NW Fish moved from Des Moines Iowa to Springfield Missouri, where the band evolved into K3N. K3N is an acronym for Krause Third North, a dorm hall at Evangel University.
On the other side of the Atlantic, 1972 saw the first release Giantkiller's first album "Whose Side You On?" Giantkiller's unique blend of sounds was enhanced by the classical training of Paul Herbst Stokes, who found a way to adapt virtuoso keyboard skills into upbeat rock and roll.
30 years later, thanks to the world wide web, these two pre-punk godfathers were able to hook up and recreate the power and excitement of their 1970s idealism. The vehicle is a tribute album for Larry Norman, another true pioneer and widely known as the father of Christian rock. |
