    Artist History
The first 11 years of my life I spent it growing up in the small town of Chadron, Nebraska, but my music career didn’t start there. The only singing I was doing back then was singing along with Bruce Springsteen on my front porch for all the neighbors to hear. My family moved out west in 1986, where we bounced around for a while until we finally landed in Spokane, WA. During these times, I couldn’t really put my feet on the ground and start to work on my music, but I do remember singing to my family all the time. Once we started to settle down in Spokane I joined the choirs in Junior High. I had my first solo for the Christmas concert in eight grade. With it being junior high and a bunch of supportive families, the gymnasium was packed! I was wearing glasses at the time and had to take them off to relieve the stage fright. My family says that that they always heard me sing at home, but nothing like I did that night. I always recall that night as the beginning. Through out Junior High and High school, I joined traveling concert and select jazz choirs and I even had my own sextet in high school where every competition we competed in, we scored superior ratings. We were even asked to perform as a special guest for a concert at Gonzaga University. After I graduated from High school, I began competing in local competitions for country showdowns and karaoke. I always placed with high ratings in every event. I believe that throughout the three years that I was in college, I was in more than a dozen of those kinds of competitions. During college, while trying to get my basic requirements out of the way, I studied music theory, music history, jazz piano, took private voice, performed in a traveling select concert choir, was in the community choir and jazz choir. I performed as a Christmas caroler and was part of a quartet who sang singing Valentines. The one thing I loved about being in the select traveling choir was the competition. The drive and dedication to be the best is what makes performers and singers stand out from the rest. After leaving college, I joined a country band for about a year where we were a house band for a local bar. During that time, I started to write songs. I didn’t want to pursue too much songwriting at first, until I realized the satisfaction of singing my own songs versus cover songs. During this time I also knew that I needed to keep up with other singing aspects, so I auditioned for and became a member the Spokane Symphony Chorale in 1997. After staying with the Chorale but leaving the band, I opened for the Spokane Indians with the National Anthem. I opened for the Spokane Chiefs with a few select members of the Chorale as well. During this time I also opened for country singer Rich McCready and The Bellamy Brothers. I also competed in the Eagles 100th year National Convention talent competition where I took home the first place plaque. It wasn’t until June 2000 that I decided to make a CD of original music that I wrote. I partnered up with a local musician, which turned out to be a two and a half year venture. During this time we called ourselves Mirror Image, released a CD of original works to a standing room only bar, went to Nashville twice to record a video and to cut a demo CD, did promo radio spots on KDRK and PEAK, as well as perform on two television specials. We performed throughout Montana, Idaho, and Washington. We were also featured as one of only three acts that preformed atop of the premier ski resort of Idaho, Silver Mountain. Mirror Image continued to perform at various local venues, private company parties, and charity events, including a three-show benefit for the survivors of the September 11 terrorist attacks. We also opened for Country music star, Mark Wills, performing the National Anthem. Since the breakup of Mirror Image I have been asked to front numerous variety of bands and have had talent scouts approach me offering services. My ears have always been drawn to all types of music. My favorite artists growing up were the Mamas and the Papas, Diana Ross and the Supremes, as well as Barbara Mandrell, Lou Rawls and Donna Summer. My influences today are still those same artists along with Leann Womack, Jewel, Reba, Sarah Mclachlan, and the Cranberries. I love to perform in front of people and I love the fact that whatever style of music is thrown at me, I can master. I take pride in what I do and I pray that the wonderful fans I have will stick by me throughout my long adventurous music journey ahead.
