Axl Einar Wolff is currently pursuing a bachelors degree in compositioAxl Einar Wolff is currently pursuing a bachelor degree in composition under the tutorship of Nicholas Maw at Peabody Conservatory of Music of Johns Hopkins University. Past instructors include Domonique Muldowney; former director of the British National Theater, and Dr. Christopher Theofanidis from the Julliard school of Music. Enriched through seminars by figures such as John Corigliano, Mark Adamo, Robert Black, Joan Towers, and Joseph Schwatner; the long term goals of Mr. Wolff include graduate study and a career in composition and conducting.
In 2003, Mr. Wolff became president of a Baltimore based audio studio; SpaceOpera Studios whose crew is comprised of various colleagues from around the world brought together through their mutual love for inter-media art. Their ability to provide adaptive audio based inter-media content and their strong knowledge and background in the latest advancements of sound engine technology have won them several contracts with esteemed publishers of the industry. The studios latest work has been for CDVs B-R-E-E-D; beat4breed, a PC title; Manager in the Net, and they have competed and won an audio contract to the new MMORTS title; Eschaton-Online.
Currently Mr. Wolff is amidst commissions for Apotheosis to Earth; a work for Organ and Chamber Orchestra under the baton of Glen Quader, Wind Symphony No. I for the Peabody Wind Ensembles 2003-2004 season, and is working to complete an orchestral work for the 2003 Peabody Symphony Orchestra and its annual Composition reading.
Of late, Mr. Wolff has accepted a position as director and as composer in residence with the Mount Vernon Orchestra as well as the Mount Vernon Pops Orchestra. The MVO is a non-profit organization which originated in 2001 under the baton of Mr. Wolff and Bob Yoon, the MVPO was created in 2003 as an outreach branch with its summer series entitled "Music by the Harbor". The MVO consists of various Peabody Conservatory Alumni and Maryland University students. The MVO is dedicated towards the cultural enrichment of the Mount Vernon area as well as in its support of New Music. Upcoming MVO events include a performance of Mr. Wolff’s “Overture to Strange Paradise” and “Symphony No. 3; Valtavia” as part of its “Music by the Harbor” summer outdoors series.

Artist History
Starting at age 8, Mr. Wolff attended the Syracuse University Bachelor theory program under the tutorship of Dr. Downing. Following his studies at Syracuse he continued to
Ithaca where he began independant study at Ithaca College with Ms. Moree. To recieve his High School diploma, Mr. Wolff attended Interlochen School for the Arts, where upon graduating
he was accepted at the Peabody Conservatory of Music of Johns Hopkins to study with the esteemed Nicholas Maw.
