Artist History
Sick Transit began when guitarist Courtney Ranshaw moved to Santa Barbara in 2001. After starting a band and going through countless lineup changes, he finnaly met singer Clayton Southard (Lethal Dose, The Violators). Right from the start, the two knew there was some serious chemistry between them, and that a vicious band could soon be formed. Adding Bassist Terry Casserly (Lethal Dose, 4DK, Blacklist), guitarist Al Duncan (RKL, Rat Pack, Bad Neighbor) and drummer Dan Drown (Les Bensen), the band was complete. There style is very much rock, drawing from the different kinds of music that the memebers had played in the past. The end result is a huge sound with killer vocals, big guitars, and a punising rhythm section. Sick Transit is both following in the footsteps of the great Santa Barbara punk scene while at the same time, paving the way for the future sound to come. |
