Artist description Gann, an abbreviation of my mothers maiden-name, who I see as my backbone and to whom I dedicate my love and spiritual blessing for giving me support, guidance and strength. Born into an artistic family of mixed origin, music has always been a high priority, first thing in the morning, last thing at night. Growing up within this cultural environment, engrossed me into a blend of multi-sounds, from Rhythm and Blues, Reggae, Gospel and Calypso to Classical, Rock, Pop and World Music, and gained an advantage which gave me the opportunity and knowledge to understand, and appreciate global music. For me, then and now, listening to legendary performers and artists of today, gives me inspiration and joy and therefore has become my influences and has inspired me both as and artist and writer. I describe my music as a vintage sound with a combination and a blend of folk and new guitar based indie elements with a spice of old soul/blues vocals
