Artist History
Greyish July came together sometime during the fall of 2002. Vocalist, Van and Bassist, Mike used to be in another local band called "This End up" unfortunately things weren't working out, so they parted ways with that band. Soon after, Mike and Van began jamming with another guitar player, Arthur Bueno. This guy had the gift of blues, but he also had a knack for Emo music. The trio began jamming together and hooked up with a percussionist, Chris Yi. The emo influence from Arthur changed the sounds of Mike, Van, and Chris who were mainly poppy punk fans. They played their first show at the Rock at The Shop in Hanford with two of the biggest and popular local bands here, Killing Isaac and Halocrine. Among the audience was Jovi who quickly won the guys over. .Jovi's incredible voice and amazing guitar skills was the sound that GJ has been looking for. Soon after Jovi's addition, GJ's sound has gotten fuller and more pleasing to the ears of the bored youths of the Central Valley. GJ is now currently working on a demo. |
