Press Reviews
Song reviews:..."Sam I Am" - Move over Deborah Harry! Vocally speaking, this is in the same vein as Rapture! I loved this...."IEI" - This could be a track on ANY Rippingtons disc. Russ Freeman would love it!....."Gold of my Eye" - Tonya's voice is great here! I kept thinking Carole King/Linda Ronstadt/Trisha Yearwood....."Listen to your Mother" - She may DIE to hear this, but there were parts of this song where Tonya reminded me of Ann Wilson from the EARLY Heart albums. In the latter part of the song, she actually sang like Kevin Griffin of Better Than Ezra....."Epiphany" & "We Are One" - Cool songs. It amazes me how these sound like early, pre-big label Better Than Ezra with a hint of 10,000 Maniacs. I like the solo a lot on We Are One. There are places on We Are One where she reminds me of early non-Tanya Donnely Throwing Muses (I cannot remember Tanya's sister's name)....."I Believe" - Very cool range from Tonya on this song. I like how the song changes tempo. The ending was cool. |
