Artist History
Since the debut release of Absolutely Splendid, Sunfall Festival’s soothing and warm style has been catching on outside their home-base of Utah. The band was picked up by Davis and Shapiro entertainment law firm in New York and has received attention from over 30 record labels.
The first single debuted at No. 2 on X-96’s call-in show “Now Hear This.” “Modern Way to Go” placed higher than Radiohead’s “Karma Police” and the Verve’s “Bitter Sweet Symphony.”
Regional sales of both Absolutely Splendid and a follow-up EP On the Verge have exceeded the band’s wildest expectations. Local shows frequently sell out while the word about Sunfall Festival’s sound spreads. Highlights for the band have been performing with Victoria Williams, Creeper Lagoon, and Everclear, being invited to North by Northwest in Portland, having pro bowl quarterback Steve Young frequent their shows and being nominated in the Top Ten Best College Bands of 1999 by Conan O’brien.
The band formed in Utah in late 1995. |

Press Reviews
"It's a pretty amazing first CD. Great
songs, wonderful singing and playing.
It is all the more impressive being
that the singer is only 19 years old.
Such a rich voice. 'Foolish' is a
wonderful, haunting song that could
make your hair stand on end." --
Keith Mitchel of Mazzy Star ********* "In a fantastic second effort from an
already strong band, Sunfall Festival
releases its new CD called
"On the Verge." This release is such
a wonderful addition to the band's
repertoire that its musical strength
can be summed up in one word:
beautiful." - Daily Universe-Utah |
