Artist History
Tracy Herron started his music career about 1959 with his nephews, Carroll and Percy Gilley. They were all from Ferriday, Louisiana and that’s where their cousins were from, Jerry Lee Lewis and Jimmy Swaggart. Also, their uncle Mickey Gilley. Mickey Gilley’s two brothers married Tracy Herron’s two sisters.
Tracy Herron has recorded previously and so has Carroll and Dennis Gilley, his nephews, however, Tracy never got music out of his system. He started playing the harmonica about five years ago and got to know some of the guys here in Corpus Christi such as Mike Isbell and Jason Burns who have a band called Crossfire. They invited him out to play with them. Since then he has played with different bands all over Corpus Christi, Texas. |
