Artist History
GuessWork is Clint Arnau and Jeff Dwight. They started playing together in 1985 when the two self proclaimed Beatles fanatics got together through a newspaper ad Clint placed for a lead guitarist for his Beatles band "Strawberry Fields". Soon thereafter member and repetoire changes resulted in a name change to ShockWave. A subsequent single and album called "Don't Give Up" was recorded and pressed (on vinyl no less). Between '86-'88 Jeff also studied Jazz in New York and then at Berklee College of Music in Boston while Clint continued to furiously backlog 100's of songs. In 1989 they reunited ShockWave again to hit the club circuit in the Northeast. Now known for killer Beatle sets and popular originals ShockWave continued until 1992. Between '92-'95 Clint worked with various bands and continued to write. Jeff hit the jazz scene and did some arranging and composition on the side. In 1995 the two were ready to combine their experience, dedication, and talent again this time to establish a digital recording studio to record and produce original music for themselves and others. Unsure of the outcome, "GuessWork" was born. We hope you all enjoy listening for the diverse influences that combine in the work. |
