    Artist History
What happened to the music? Where did the melody go? What happened to the ability to combine aggressive songwriting and bubble gum hooks? What dastardly villain is to blame? Unfortunately, there are far too many to list. Fortunately, there are saviors among us. They are four young men hailing from Boston, MA, collectively known as Favorite Atomic Hero. Playing catchy, hook-laden, powerful rock ‘n’ roll in the vein of The Foo Fighters, Jimmy Eat World and American Hi-Fi, Favorite Atomic Hero may just save the day. Favorite Atomic Hero has remained one of Boston’s best kept secrets until now. On December 10, 2002, Lonesome Recordings will release Who Will Save You Now?, produced by Grammy Award-nominated producer, Ducky Carlisle (Bleu, Sheila Divine). This is the band’s second full-length CD. Their first, Timebomb (2000), was an internet-only release on MP3.com’s in-house label. It sold over 2,000 copies worldwide and had countless downloads. The track "California," (which also appears on Who Will Save You Now?), ranked number 1 on the MP3.com power-pop charts for over 20 weeks. The band has developed a rabid following in New England and earned the respect of fans, critics and other bands as they’ve shared the stage with the likes of The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, the Kickovers, Superdrag, The Riddlin’ Kids and Sum 41. Boston Phoenix writer Brett Milano was recently "blown away" by the band’s songwriting and Boston zine, The Noise says the band is "definitely on the runway to mega-success." The band recently had a track released on a brand new Weezer tribute CD on Cleopatra Records. They also had a song featured on the MTV series, Undressed. Furthermore, Favorite Atomic Hero has the honor of being included on the OBEY/Shepard Fairey compilation The Giant Rock ‘n’ Roll Swindle along with the Bouncing Souls, the Hives, International Noise Conspiracy and more

    Press Reviews
The Weekly Dig, Providence RI, 03.29.2000, Review of Timebomb by J. Bennett ". . . the East Coast's answer to Everclear's Sparkle and Fade." Downright infectious - thats' the best way to describe Boston's own Favorite Atomic Hero, who have been turning their fair share of heads lately with the success of their internet-only release. They may also be the first band who could have a shot at commercial stardom without having an album available in stores. Favorite Atomic Hero first caught the attention of the rock world with their sugary-sweet hit "California" - the quintessential power pop single - which first appeared on the Twisted Rico Productions compilation back in 1998, when the band called themselves Static. "California" appears again on Timebomb, reminding us what feel-good rock n roll is all about: guitar-driven anthems with contagious vocal hooks that just begs the ladies to sing along. But Favorite Atomic Hero is no one-hit wonder. The album plays host to a plethora of potential Billboard numbers, including "The Risk of Being Cool", "New", "There", and the raucous title track, all of which showcase FAH's knack for stellar pop songwriting and make Timebomb the East Coast's answer to Everclear's Sparkle and Fade. The bottom line is this: this is a fucking solid album. If you like your rock catchy and uncluttered, Favorite Atomic Hero will deliver you to the Promised Land of Rock N Roll Satisfaction.
