Artist History Fearless and infectious, the Darling Articles are rock n roll soul! Experience their exceptional blend of gutsy, soulful rock (The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen) and heartfelt honky-tonk (Hank Williams Sr., Johnny Cash). You'll smile. You'll dance. You'll undergo a shot of pure rock n roll adrenaline. The Darling Articles are rock n roll soul. In 1999, the core of the Darling Articles was born, a minimalist punk rock band. Since then, various members and band names have come and gone. In addition, the band played hundreds of shows and got serious about their music. By 2003, the band had grown into something entirely different, yet exciting. To correspond with the new direction, the new name (Darling Articles) was adopted and a new record (The Initial Reaction EP) was released. The Darling Articles play over a hundred shows a year. They have shared the stage with national known acts such as Student Rick, Sewing With Nancy, Punchline, Sidewalk Slam, the Blamed, Element 101, and Underoath. In 2003, they were picked to play the Cornerstone Festival in Bushnell, IL and Orlando, FL with acts such as MxPx, Blindside, Squad Five-O, and Further Seems Forever. The band looks to continue the momentum by playing a much as possible throughout the year. In May, they self released The Initial Reaction EP. Recorded and produced by Russ Fox and Matt Gingrich at Broadmoor Recording Studio (Bleach, Matthew, Evan Anthem), the EP showcases the band's best work. Look for more big things to come from these rock n rollers.
