Artist History
Hi-Teck
The idea of Hi-Teck was born in the summer of 2002 when singer-songwriter Mark Ortega and solo vocal and dance artist Victor Hugo met while performing in Riverside, CA. The two shared similar musical interests and it seemed to be a natural fit for them to collaborate and form a group together.
The formation was complete when Danny Macarthur, a composer, producer, and lead singer of various alternative rock groups, agreed to co-write and produce the music for the group. All three represent over 40 years of experience in performing, song writing, producing, and dancing.
The group’s sound is heavily influenced by club, dance, and electronic pop-rock music, all rolled up and dashed with a helping of Latin spice. The group represents a wide variety of artist influences including Depeche Mode, Madonna, Erasure, Ricky Martin, and N*Sync just to name a few.
The group is currently rehearsing and fine tuning their show and lining up performance dates for summer 2003. |
