Artist History WIP began when Scrambled Porn lead singer Alex Leduc & bassist Ian Koiter began to jam on Tool tunes with original drummer Peter Garthside, and the three were joined with vocalist Tristan Cook for a first show at the Reverb in Toronto with london band Kottin Trip and Toronto punk rockers Safeway Home. Unfortunately the band had to split up to go to their respective universities/high school in different parts of ontario. In October 2002 Ian & Alex brought Tristan out to London for a show at the Spoke at UWO with fill in drummer Ian McKay, also a student at western. With drummer Peter making the choice to remain in Ottawa permanently, W_I_P is currently working on a future drummer situation, hopefully including Ian MacKay.
