Artist description Solitude Within makes music that tries to express atmosphere and imagery, and feelings. It's not founded on any musical style, but rather came out as an interessting blend between symphonic, atmospheric, progressive, and instrumentalist influences. This first cd started out as an experiment in recording. I wanted to try and do something with several songs and ideas, in my head. Gradually, as things go, ideas were abandoned, other songs were written, a general concept developed, and the idea of Far From... was born! The result of the first cd is a diverse mix of some epic longer songs, setting the main tone characterized by exploration and development, and a set of shorter, acoustic interludes. As of now Solitude Within is a solo project. I've been working in my home-studio, writing the music I like, without having it to resemble anything, or meet anyone's standards I've been working in my home-studio, and playing in another Delft-based band named Flux (no demo yet available). In this band I'm combining my own symphonic influences with a bunch of totally deranged other guys (and girls, sorry!) with their own influences, into eclectic pop/rock.
