Artist History
Growing Down started during september 2003. Jean-philippe Rochon Bélec, Patrick Gagnon and Yannick Jacob had a band before that was called United Again. We all had the same tought : the band needed something more to have a better overall sound. With only one guitar we were not able to have the sound we were looking for. So we decided to call one of our friend André Bélanger that we knew was playing guitar and he was really good. The band was almost complete but there was still something missing : a great leading vocalist. This is where Thierry Laflamme came in. Growing Down had now everything they needed to be a solid band. We spent a lot of times togheter playing and trying to be as perfect as we could. One day we knew we were ready to produce our fisrt demo cd. We went to Distorition Studios to record The first chapter e.p. . This record, recorded during february 2003 Produced, Recorded and Mixied by Tracy Holmes, contains three of our actual songs : onset, wake up tragedy and forget the motives. Since that time we have sold over 250 copies of this record on our own. With the determination we have from every members of our band we proudly think we have something to offer to punk/emo listeners. It’s important for a band to have a message to say and that’s what we are doing. Our kind of music is and will always be oriented to emo/melodic. This is what we are and were trying to keep this way. |
