Artist History under the influence may be just a band to some, but to under the influence, they're a family. under the influence has stuck together through thick and thin. through numerous singers and drummers, they have left their mark on each show they have played. andrew and justin have both been heavy in the music scene, for steve, this is the only band that he has been in. justin has played with bands before but soon realized metal was his life. he then decided to leave his old ways and start with a new. a metal band. he brought together his brother with his friend, steve, another guitarist that was friendly with the brothers. justin had brought in a drummer and singer that he had known from the past. the five of them played the music that andrew and justin had written in the past, but as time went on the drummer and singer just weren't right. a new drummer came into the scene with incredible double bass capabilities, his name of course, was chris. at this same time, under the influence had acquired a new singer also. he was a well-known singer for being in many bands in the mid-80s. the new under the influence, only three original members remaining, went to zounds rehearsal studio to practice their material. for some time, the band practiced in zounds, a place where the misfits and other bands rehearsed, and at this time, the band was complimented by the misfits and numerous other folk. as the band moved on with the new singer and drummer, they had a deadline, a show on july 31st. the band played their heart out, winning over the crowd, but after reviewing video tapes of the show, they knew for the future, a new singer would be needed. under the influence is now in the process in writing heavier new material and at the same time, are searching for a fifth member to fit their family. if you are interested in singing for under the influence, please contact anyone from the contact information.
