Artist description
In a genre where names are seemingly created only for shock value, THE SATANIC BALLERINAS enter with a different mind set; names don't mean shit. With blinding speed and blazing intensity, THE SATANIC BALLERINAS unleash a flurry of notes that delivers a non-stop, one-way trip to hell. Scarce is the moment when things slow down enough for you to catch your breath. Calculating, cold, and unforgiving, these five metal warriors are poised to make an extreme impact on extreme music! |

Artist History
The Satanic Ballerinas formed in Minneapolis in the summer of 2000. Aaaron (drums) and Brandon (guitars) had played together for a year in the band FLESHQUAKE when they met Steve of local metal band VULNERATA. Steve's huge display of talent immediately caught the attention of Aaron and Brandon, and they set out to recruit him immediately. Steve enthusiastically joined the band on guitars and propelled it in an entirely new direction. Shortly thereafter, they decided to adopt the moniker THE SATANIC BALLERINAS because they had changed styles so drastically, going from slow hardcore to fast paced extreme metal. After switching bassists twice, the group finally added Dan (bass) and Josh (vocals) in 2001 and the line-up was complete. In 2003 the band had a falling out with bassist Dan Schmitt, so Dan Demuth, the bands "producer" and Project X guitarist Dan Demuth took over the bass duties. |
