Artist History
I spent many years playing drums with bands mainly in the Pop/Rock genre, playing lots of gigs and recording a few albums. I now concentrate my efforts writing and producing my own instrumental music and playing with a Prog/Classic Rock band called Tr3nity. Tr3nity are signed to a small independant label called Cyclops and we have released one album so far called 'The Cold Light Of Darkness'.We are in pre production for our second release due out in the Autumn. I currently have three self produced albums called 'Twister', 'Sahara', and 'Inter Alia'. |

"A criticsm often levelled at this genre is that the common practice of using drum machines tends to take a lot of the soul out the music; but here is an act that turns the tables on that particular problem. Being a drummer, the live show features Rolf playing drums to recorded backing tracks, which gives an added vibrancy and texture to the sound - which is atmospheric in the extreme.
I'd be hard pressed to favour either one of these CDs above the other since, in truth, I have found both to be immensely enjoyable. This is great mood music, and is perfect to play when you want to wind down or chill out. The content demonstrates variety and inventiveness throughout and, since the tracks are concise and do not resort to over indulgence, they tend to hold the attention very well indeed."
"While the nature of the music is clearly likely to appeal to fans of Electronic / Ambient bands such as Tangerine Dream or Foreign Spaces, and even at times OMD; there is more than enough here to find favour with a far wider ranging audience. Regardless of your current tastes, I would strongly encourage readers to check out the Maengan web site where sound samples for all the tracks featured on these albums can be found and, if you like what you find, contact the artist to obtain the CDs."
