Artist History Call it punk-injected rock n' roll, or rock n' roll-injected punk. Either way it works. The Getback was born in July of 2002 from the ashes of a band called Corky, and inpired by bands like The Rolling Stones, the Ramones, the New York Dolls and Guns n' Roses. The band is Jose on guitar and lead vocals, Gus Rod on lead guitar, Danny on bass and Juan on drums. Each song is a two-minute attack of screaming guitars, adrenaline-filled solos, and fun, catchy choruses that will have you singing along from the second the music hits your ears. The band is known for tight, highly energetic live shows, and has opened for acts such as the Teen Idols, The Eyeliners, Tsunami Bomb, Against All Authority, The Crumbs, The Heatseekers, The Gotohells, The Toasters, Cadillac Blindside, Breaking Pangea and Glasseater. The Getback is here to smother your mother and make your sister think they love her. They are here to remind you that punk can still rock while still maintaining its pop appeal, and that the genre's true meaning is fun. And they are gonna smile, sweat and shake their asses whilst you learn that all over again.
