Artist History
Hellbound Hayride were voted one of Music Connection Magazine's
Top 100 unsigned bands; a well deserved title, that is, until
being snapped up by Coach House Records in 1998. Forerunners
of the rockabilly craze - now leaving burgeoning sales, shows,
and scenes in it's wake - Hellbound Hayride we're Orange County
legendss long before the formulated fashion and media fanfare.
Spawning a slew of fan-sites and local press, Hellbound quickly
gained the admiration and support of their musical contemporaries-
their first recordings appearing on Social Distortion's own Flip
Records.
Hellbound Hayride's list of accomplishments and credentials reads
like an indie-music dream:
* Shows packed to the rafters from San Francisco's famous Slim's
to San Diego's Cabash Club
*Co-headling the Hootenanny Festival with the Reverend Horton
Heat, the Cramps, and X
*Regular video rotation on MTV2
*Inclusion of the single "Hot Rod
Soul" on the O'Neil company's latest
surf film "All Aboard" |
