Artist description
AN INTRODUCTION TO HELIUM THEORY:
The Idea:
The brainchild of Chris Matty, former engineer to Billy Joel Keyboardist David Rosenthal and Session Drummer Jonathan Mover (Fuel, Joe Satrinai). Create rock music that everybody across the board could enjoy. Combine ½ attitude with a pinch of rock formula and melody, a dose of bass and drum groove = Helium Theory.
The CD:
A Grueling 12-hour Tracking and Mix session at the Famous Skyline Studios, NYC. Engineered by Mauricio Cersosimo (Brett Scallions of Fuel). The 4 song EP cracks with serious groove and Pop Rock. Charted from beginning to end, the songs transition from smooth rockers like "Vanilla Skies" and "Today" to the bluesy ballad "Lost Son" and back beat sludge groove of "Over My Head" Pop rock format. Yes. A guaranteed Crowd pleaser. Absolutely.
Venues:
Being a new band, Helium theory is playing where ever and whenever from local venues in New Jersey/New York to Open mics across the Tri-State Area. Building a following wherever they play, using every available resource to promote, promote, promote. Professionalism is our number 1 concern. Our Motto: No venue is too small. Respect the bands, respect the owners. Maybe you will get to play there again. |

Music Style
Think New Jersey bands: Must be Punk, Hardcore or a Cover Band. Not so here. In this case, think serious bass grooving, pop cracking riffs and smooth rock drumming. Helium Theory is paving the way for new slick infectious rock. Actually a rock band you can call original, according to some. |
