Artist History
Edge is an alternative rock band from Prince Edward Island, Canada. The group formed in the Fall of 1999 when Maurice Hashie (drums, vocals) called on his cousin Jason Arsenault (lead guitar, vocals), life-long friend Andy Gallant (bass, vocals), and band mate Chris Ahern (guitar, lead vocals) to have a jam and see what happened. The result? By their second rehearsal, the group had found their sound: aggressive drumming, solid melodic bass lines, catchy guitar riffs with blazing solos, and raunchy vocals layered with backup harmonies. Edge was born and ready to rock!
Edge have performed countless live shows since then. Their musical ability, attention to detail, and fun-loving attitude have made them a favorite cover band on the local entertainment scene. Still, the boys in Edge wanted more...
In 2002, they began writing original material with the goal to record a CD in 2003. They describe their music as "alternative rock with an 80’s influence" (the guys all grew up in the 80’s after all). They continue to perfect their song-writing skills and have studio time booked this Spring.
