    Artist description
The Power of Contradiction (The Paradox way) Paradox is a thing with seemingly contradictory qualities or phases. This is the founding concept of the rap duo known as Paradox. From every side of their vocal kaleidoscope they personify contradiction. If you ever saw them, your first perception would be fine, upstanding, young male adults. Although your perception would not be far off, it’s not even half of the truth. Although both emcees are intensely spiritual, they strike at all religious intricacies with an unabashed fervor that leaves listeners questioning the “In god we trust” writing on U.S. currency. In fact, the only thing that might save these two college students from being banned is their ever-present smiles and angel-like visage. Their beats, created by themselves, border the line between music and organized noise. The two mcs- known as Mad Hadda and Abyss- transfuse their contradictory essences into their music with a conscious battle between melody and chaotic sound throughout. Although the “paradoxical sound” is apparent in each one of their technical drum loops, each beat plucks at a different human nerve, daring the listener to expand their idea of “music”. From a vocal standpoint, the delivery is flawless. The imagery that they create with each word is highly comparable to Van Gogh with a paintbrush. They playfully toy with rhyme schemes, while showing you the panoramic dimensions of what society would consider a paradox.

    Artist History
Mad Hadda and Abyss, the founders of Paradox, met in high school almost 10 years ago through a mutual friend. In 2001, they shifted gears from having various engineers produce their music, to building an in-house studio. This enabled them to produce songs independently, and within six months, birthed a maxi-single aptly entitled “Alpha”. After intense consideration, they opted to hold off on distribution until the album was completed.
