Artist History
Formed by songwriter/singer/guitar player Patrick McCay,
The Silence Kit recorded a demo in Jaunary of 2003.
Engineered by Matt Milner at INDRE Studios, McCay
and an assortment of friends and backing musicians
completed the recording in the hopes of using it to solidify
a lineup and to get some shows. Ankur Pandya played
guitar, Jeffrey Fields played bass, organ and glockenspiel
and Beth Cullen played drums. A few months later, bass
player Geoff Thorne was added to the fold and the two
rebuilt the band, bringing in drummer Scott Visco and guitar player
Matt Hojnowski to put together the versatile and dynamic lineup that has
become The Silence Kit. The band is currently recording
their first release. The old 4 demos are here for now,
but look for new and more fully realized versions of some of these songs,
along with new songs, demos of works in progress, and live tracks to appear in the coming months. |
