Artist History
Bludgeoning, Intense, Metal with melody is what you get from the new Bay area band Occision. Combining elements of Black Metal, Death, Thrash & Traditional Metal, Occision are concocting a unique brew of Memorable Sonic intensity, holding true to the legacy that the Bay Area has forged in the world of Metal.
The band was started in 2001 by guitarist/vocalist Adam Weber, and drummer Val Valenti. Through the first few months together the two were joined by an assortment of musicians before recruiting bass player, Jared Marril, and 2nd guitarist Devin.
In December 2002 the band recorded a 2 song demo containing the song "Crucifixiate" - a blisteringly fast, spite ridden outlook on the religious double standard in today’s society, followed by the hauntingly, atmospheric "Waiting to Die."
Occision is ready to assault their brand of metal on audiences everywhere.

Press Reviews
Next up was the South Bay's up and coming melodic death metal act Occision. These guys are one to check out for sure- excellent musicianship and a tight and fast rhythm section helped them simply tear the roof off the joint. They played tracks off their demo cd which they'll kick ya down for free if you see 'em at a show. These guys have a bright future ahead of them.
