Artist description
It's a group of individual talents, some from Boston's premier bands, who are pulling together just for the sake of music.
A musical collaborative based on Funk, Blues, and Jazz roots, but unpredictable thanks to major improvisation. One night every week they leave their lives at the door and commit to creating a place for ripping tunes, great people, and ample beverages.

Group Members
Jamie Bacheller -- Guitar
Jamie started playing guitar right around the same time his brother picked up drum-sticks. These two hid in their Latham, NY cellar for days on end feeding on only Doritos and Jolt soda. Jamie's influences range from Steely Dan, Phish, and Moe, to bluegrass legend David Grisman and freak guitar phenome Frank Zappa. Jamie met Mike and Brad at Skidmore College where they all become close friends, and Jamie first stepped into the musical lime-light with "Steady Bones" an original Reggae outfit. He lays down the funk with tight rythm work and well composed solos.
Brian Bacheller -- Drums
Brian completes the Bacheller Mafia's hold on the funk scene. Referred to as fast foot freddie, Brian's single kick-drum work makes double bass pedal players run in fear. He's been laying down the foundations for over 8 years, and it shows. Brian's extremely attentive ear leads The Groove Trust Band through their trademark telepathic changes
Jamie Bannister -- Bass
Jamie began playing guitar when she was in the 3rd grade and promptly picked up bass when she was 13. A West Hartford, CT native Jamie attended Hall High School where she was a bassist for the school’s award winning jazz band. A four time winner of the Berklee College of Music’s HS Jazz Competition, Jamie was recognized with a certificate of outstanding musicianship. In 92-94 Jamie traveled with the band on 2 European tours. She finished high school and moved on to Colgate University where she continued to pursue her musical endeavors. She met up with mad man Michael Cucchi when he joined up with One Flew East in 2001. They're styles mixed immediately, and when One Flew East's drummer FLEW WEST, they picked themselves up and pushed forward. An original core member of the early Groove Trust stages, she has helped to define their sound, and their style.
Michael Cucchi -- Harmonica
Mike began playing harmonica at the age of 14. He was born and raised in Princeton, New Jersey, hometown of the harmonica king, John Popper. In fact, Mike had the privilege of meeting and following Blues Traveller from as early as 1987. His style mixes the speed and accuracy of Popper with his own original twists. Influences such as Bela' Fleck's Howard Levy and Canada's Carlos Del Junco have pulled Mike into the jazz and bluegrass persuasions. He's played with bass virtuoso Victor Wooten and toured with various bands across the North East. He hung up his harps to manage Boston's Who's The Fat Guy? but couldn't ignore his roots, and two years later he's back with a vengeance. Meeting up with Bannister in One Flew East he responded to that bands break-up by launching The Groove Trust musicians collaborative. His rhythm harmonica and ripping solos help define the Groove Trust Band's unique sound.
