Artist description
The Viceroy is the story of a boy and his dream. The boy is Elliot Smilowitz, and his dream is to write songs everybody can relate to, while bringing the rawk. Inspired by various bands from Long Island and New Jersey, Elliot meticulously crafts songs on his guitar, and records everything himself (including programmed drums). Currently, The Viceroy is putting the finishing touches on the first batch of songs, and preparing to unleash them on the world. |

Artist History
All through highschool, Elliot Smilowitz would write lyrics to hypothetical songs, but did not have any musical skill so he never set them to song. In December of 2001, Mike Kras lent Elliot his bass guitar, and the music began. Elliot just learned how to play other bands's songs for a few months, until the summer of 2002 when he got his heart broken, and decided to write about it. That first song went through various lyrical and melodic changes, eventually becoming the arena-rocker now titled "Gasoline." The rest, as they say, is history. |
