Artist History
Stillborn Decay were put together out of the remains of Stoke-on-Trent death metallers Disembowelled. After Disembowelled split, guitarist Dan Lowndes, and vocalist Dan Finney decided to put together a brutal goregrind band that would slay the stagnant stoke metal scene. They recruited Shane Turner, the bass player from Disembowelled as a guitarist, and their friend Ben Cope, guitarist for Birmingham death metallers Endless Torment and Blast Radius. Dan Lowndes, decided to switch to vocals, leaving the band without a permanent bassist. Using a drum machine, Shane and Ben wrote some ultra technical, brutal riffs and the two Dan's worked together and wrote the most gory, grotesque lyrics they possibly could.
