Pete Lavnder
Biography
Pete is born on August 5th 1975 in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada.
He spent his childhood in The town of Dieppe. He graduated from Mathieu Martin High School, he then went on to further is education at Moncton Community College in Tractor Trailer Maintenance.
Pete has been exposed to music all is life, his father and mentor, Danny Melanson played with “Baseline Road” for 20 years. From age 13, Pete started playing electric guitar and by age 15, bought his first guitar made by “Quest” few months later formed a band called “Freedom Rock”. They played a wide variety of songs from Metallica to the Beatles. Liking all kind of music, he developed a taste for “Rock Blues”.
His first stage performance was at the age of 16, which gave him the urge to play live more often. He then went on to join Todd Geldart and ”Proven Guilty”. Todd Geldart
Gave Pete the freedom that he needed to satisfy his creative side. Playing original material also gave Pete the opportunity to write is own original material.
Success
1996 –Jammed with Jeff Healey and Lawrence Gawin in between sets at pete’s concert at Hotel Beausejour Moncton for Royal Direct Royal Bank of Canada.
1997- Recorded 1st Demo album with Todd Geldart in Sussex New Brunswick.
1998 – Released 1st Album with Todd “ How does it feel”.
1999 - Won Battles of the Band- Main stage show case for ECMA’S in Newfoundland.
2000- Opened for Nazareth in P.E.I arena, in Sydney NS.. arena, and Halifax arena
Opened for Trooper in Moncton Rockin Rodeo Moncton hottest night spot
Opened for Matt Minglewood in Moncton Rockin Rodeo Moncton hottest night spot
Met Backstage with Jim Cuddy concert in Moncton Chevy’s Hall
Recorded Todd Geldart 2nd album
Pete Lavnder play’s Live performances in Moncton and surrounding areas
2002-September 20th Pete signed a exclusive 5 years personal manager contract with Live Wire Management Moncton New Brunswick.
2003- Friday march 7th Pete open’s for Canada winter games
2002 pete formed 4 piece band PetePlavnder band
