Artist description
In november of 2002, Nigel burk decided to change the members of his band Hippie Fantsay and the Stupid Kids. He went through many different members till he decided to get Alex Desloover along as drummer. Soon after, Christine Tomplinson, long time friend of Nigel's, joined to the group on bass. The band was set. Like nirvana or everclear, the band like the three member style. Nigel started writing riffs to his songs on his guitar. Soon after, Alex came up with some beats and next thing they knew that already had ten songs written in only two months.
In early December, the band's manager, Perdo, wasn't doing much for them so they fired him without a dime. Soon after, they found a loser-geek hardcore everclear fan on the streets and offered him the job. He agreed and starting "Naked without a wig" The first Hippie Fantasy fan site. The band was pleased with the fan site and made it into the official site. The site was renamed to "The official Hippie Fantasy and the Stupid Kids site" Which is the site that is in your face right now. The band was ready for some gigs. So newly manager got them a show at the 'AAA electra 99' art gallery in Anahiem. The band was happy and started on a strong set-list. They played a secert show a week before the show to get ready and realized they were ready. On April 26th, 2003 the band played their fisrt show.
The band decided to get serious and started to save money. They turned to Griffdog Records to cut a 3-tack Demo CD. They put together three of their favoirte songs and went into the sudio on Firday, May 23rd. The CD cost them $450 dollars to make. The band finally had a demo...... |
