Artist History
Distortion - A little biography of the band, written by Mary Schurr.
Thiago, Alex and Alberto.
In 1997, when these three musicians got together to create Distortion -- with the songs "After Coming Jesus", "We need", -- nobody would imagine that they would get through the year of 1999, having the recognition of the public with a high quality sound allied with the weight and the emotion as in song such as "Salvation" and "No Violence". In the same year, they recorded a demo song called "Rotten Food", where they show their potential in one of their best performances. In 2000, they record the unforgettable CD "Violence Demo" with the weight of brokwn guitars, distortion and anarchy. In 2001, they create the song "Discharge of Nature", proving their explosive art. In this same year, Eric joins the band with the original sound of his guitar in the song "Neurotic".
There they are, in Resende, DISTORTION, a band full of energy, inviting, surprising... with Thiago (vocals and guitar), Alex (bass), Alberto (drums) and Eric (guitar). The concerts happened in the region, with highlights for the one in Volta Redonda - RJ, which took place in September of 2002, where a crowd of people filled the place and went crazy.
This is the scene of one of the best bands of the Fluminense region, showing energy and intensity in interpretation.
