Artist History
Tyson Haynes has come a long way since the fifth grade when he started his musical journey. His musical career didn't start to pick up nor get serious until his freshman year in high-school. Tyson has an incredible smooth jazz sax sound which sends shivers down people's back.
Belonging to a few music groups here and there Tyson remains mainly solo until as of recently joining a group consisting of incredible talented musicians. The group consists of James Lee, an incredibly talented guitar and piano player who has ranges of anything from Jazz, classical and even James Brown! Ellen Cockerham, a first chair violin in the Portland Youth Philharmonic and one of the best violin players in Oregon, adds incredibly to this group.
Where it is a main part, smooth jazz is not only the focus of Tyson's music. His style can vary from gospel, rock, contemporary, mainstream jazz, and even classical. Tyson has cut two of his own cd's as well as feature on other artists albums. He has played in a variety of churches to the Rose Garden and the Grotto.
Tyson's musical ability reflects his relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Tyson says, "The Lord has given me this talent for a reason, to spread His message. Everything I do is for Him" |
