Artist description
There aren't many performers who can boast the ability to silence an otherwise noisy crowd within minutes of beginning their set! Odette's music is a carefully crafted blend of soulful narrative set against a backdrop of folk/pop rhythms. |

Artist History
Born in England in October 1976, Odette has been studying and playing music for 22 of her 26 years. After exchanging the Piano for the Guitar at the age of 15, she began writing and recording her own songs when she was sixteen years old. Continuing her study of music at the Nottingham Trent University, Odette went on to receive her B.A in Contemporary Music in 1998.
After graduating, Odette took off with her backpack and a guitar and escaped to the west coast of Canada, where she joined forces with established Canadian band Barbarash. With them she sung at some of the most well known clubs and venues across the city of Vancouver throughout the summer of 1999.
In the years since she has played solo as well as with various bands up and down the UK, including the Cambridge Folk Festival Club stage, where she has performed for three years consecutively. Odette also divides her creativity with her other musical project; local band Lumina, who she also songwrites for.
These days however, Odette can be found performing as much as possible in acoustic friendly venues accompanied only by Mick Taylor on electric Guitar. Lately, she can also be found underneath the bonnet of her old white Fiat, fixing the latest peculiarity.
