Artist description
Life In Numbers hails from Thousand Oaks, CA and Sylmar, CA (suburbs of Los Angeles.) After years of playing in other assorted rival local bands, the five members converged in December of 2002. Everyone in LIN had grown sick of being in a local band, playing at the same venue every weekend, not having any merch to sell, etc. So Ant Olgin, Brandon Pierce, Dean Nakashima, Eric Ivener, and Kevin Donlon decided that they were going to work together to become a full time band. LIN started practicing at least 3 times a week and wrote their debut cd/ep, The Halo Hour (Bow and Lyre Records.) In February of 2003, after doing a pre-production recording, the band headed to For the Record Studios in Orange, CA to record The Halo Hour with engineer/producer Paul Miner. The band spent a week straight in the studio with Paul until they perfected the six tracks. During the same month, Kevin and Ant began to book the bands first tour to promote the release of The Halo Hour on their own label, Bow and Lyre Records. At the end of March 2003, Bow and Lyre put the band on the road for a month’s worth of touring across the US. LIN enjoyed working on the road, and is striving to be out for at least nine months of the year. The band is currently writing new music, booking more and more shows, and is still determined to become full time. The band and label are seeking support for touring, promotion, and future releases. |
