Artist History (here goes nothing) Tres (vocals) and Jordan (acoustic guitar/backups) started in a band called False Idol, which didn't work out. Tres and Adam (electric guitar) began playing together in Tres' garage, with Tres on drums. They then brought in their friend Bill to play bass, just as a fun garage project. Soon we realized we had potential, and began searching for a drummer. We found Russell, a friend of Bill's, and Tres took over vocals. Tres was then going to move to North Carolina, over the summer of 2001, so the other bandmembers asked Jordan to take over. Things didn't work out for Tres in North Carolina and he soon came back to Colorado. Jordan stepped down from lead vocals and just played acoustic guitar and helped with the backups. Things were looking up and we booked our first show with the Riffs. However, due to... err, problems with Russell, he quit and we were left without a drummer for our show. Jarrod from Raised Under Reagan, another Colo Spgs. local band filled in temporarily for our show, but alas, after the show, we were without a drummer. One night while drinking with some friends, Tres asked if anyone knew a drummer, and Matt said he did. Tres simply replied, "Want to be in a band?" and his reply was "Okay." and thus things began. After intensive practice and rehearsal, the current and final incarnation of Uncle Scam and the Free Marketeers was born. *pause for breath*
