Artist description The Street is a hard-hitting aggressive rock band that has great songs, and excellent music chops. It is hard to classify who, or what they sound like. My best definition to describe thier sound is this- If you took a musical blender and threw in the best of the late 80's early nineties(Motley Crue, Metallica, Pantera, Tesla, etc..) then tossed in recent influences such as Rage, Korn, Godsmack, etc.. you would end up pretty close to the sound of The Street. The Street is definately not a band that is a trend follower, they have thier own sound, look and attitude. After witnessing a live performance of the band words such as "Powerfull", "Intense", "Aggressive" and "Tight" are used by fans and critics to describe the outburst of raw emotion that they have just witnessed. The Street was formed in 1992 by vocalist Brad Arnold and guitarist Troy Haun. Nathan Jackson joined shortly after. In 1998 the original drummer departed so the band called on long time friend Alex Krelo to play the drums. Alex added a lot to the sound of The Street due to his unique approach on the drums. Alex is not your basic boring drummer that plays the same beats over and over, this added some more musical diversity to the band. "Our sound was drastically changing(after Alex joined)" says guitarist Troy Haun. "We found the sound that we had been looking for it was this fresh, heavy sound that still maintained a groove." After listening to the bands Syphon Records release "My World" you will hear what Troy is talking about. The music that the band performs is inspirational, and well thought out. Each member writes his own part. The lyrics are generally written by Brad and Troy. All of the band members have input on the arrangement of the songs. The Street and Syphon records are currently promoting to radio stations all over the world. Music of this caliber needs to reach the public, it is what fans of rock music everywhere are waiting for.
