    Artist description
System Shock is an electronic/industrial project of Ian Adams, based out of Seattle, WA. Originally planned as a rather grandiose musical endeavour, years of depression, rage, downtrodding and back-stabbing - with music as his only avenue of expression - has withered it down to simply a project for self-expression. Ultimately, the purpose of system shock is to show the world exactly what it is that it has made.
    Music Style
    Unknown and always changing
    Musical Influences
Various, but if I tell you then you will compare me to them rather than take the music on its own merit.

    Instruments
Sound; It doesn't matter where it comes from.
    Albums
None as of yet, however a remix of Manifestation by Haujobb should be appearing on a tribute CD at some point this year. Working on this project, I would have to say two things: there's alot of really good mixes done for it, and Daniel Meier is an astoundtingly friendly and likeable guy (to say nothing of his musical genius), and I wish that more musicians were like him. I'm so sick of pretentousness which only serves to wedge us further apart as a culture (or counter-culture, at the very least).
    Additional Info
I would like to take a moment to let people know that honestly, I could give a rat's ass about mp3.com. The "community" that seems to have grown around it tends to care far more about "making it" than simply making good music. I don't care about how my songs rate, or how many hits I get, or being promoted through the NMA, or 'backing the band' (whose main purpose is to get more downloads for the artist in question, and thus boost their ratings in the "Top 50,000" lists.), or anything else. This is why I refuse to give mp3.com my social security #; I don't WANT to recieve any money from mp3.com. They make their money from selling advertising space, thus making it so that you are forced to endure Windows Media Player and credit card ads. Oh, but you can get those ads removed on your mp3.com page if you PAY THEM. This is just plain wrong to me. The only exception I make (so far) are the artists that I link to, who are either people that I know, or musicians for whom I have a great deal of respect. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against people getting money for their art. I mean, anything to make it so that I don't have to work some shit job and can thus work on art full time, you know? But there's no way that I personally would be able to subsist off of mp3.com, and therefore they are not truly helping me. I will not accept money from mp3.com. Period. This site is NOT a source of income for me. The reason I have this page is not to feed the bank accounts of greedy corporations.
