    Press Reviews
LSDO-If you 're into groups like Raison d'être, Deutsch Nepal, or other neoclassical dark ambient projects by Cold Meat Industry, you 'll love this latest effort by Moz. 2 long never-get-boring tracks 'll take you to the spooky elizium. In between mixing with death industrial influences in the vein of Megaptera. Don't overlook this release by Moz. Highly recommended !!!KK Null/Moz split CD7/10 - [Crionic Mind] KK Null begins with 9+ minutes of bizarre power electronics, complete with a background loop that nearly resembles a beat beneath fluttering noises and panning sweeps of electronic mayhem. This sets the tone, as most pieces seem to utilize either lightly distorted rhythms or rhythmic loops, along with more random layers and chaotic harshness. However, this is not as aggressive as the description may sound, it’s what might be called "easy listening power electronics". The recording on this set of tracks is clear as day, with easily audible details. This is my first exposure to KK Null, and I’m pleasantly surprised. Not ambient, and not exactly harsh, but the symmetry of the two is a positive. Moz is next, unleashing some godly ambience. Beginning with an immense track of low bass rumblings, followed by a composition full of thin digital blips and crunching loops, Moz is a master at creating unsettling repetitive atmospheres. Musical synth tones appear on "Funeral Procession", another quiet track with plenty of space; while "Imperialism" gets quite harsh with lots of distortion and hissing, loud volume clouding indecipherable samples. The only thing I don’t like are the two tracks of brief samples that act as interludes of sorts, which I find to be disruptive and unnecessary. There’s a lot going on with Moz, musically and conceptually, I imagine. The disc is limited to 500 copies, so grab one while it’s still easily accessible.A SONIC DETERRENT/MOZsplit 7" -limited to 300 copies $3.00 an Anti-Everything/Maladjusted split release.ASD described as "spastic power electronics","unique and dark industrial power electronics" i just call it noise.MOZ layers together both soothing and disturbing textures into an experimental electronic sound collage."..best fucking record ever pressed!..unsafe at any speed!"-The VioletProduct."people will ask;what the fuck are you listening too man?"-Vacuum mailorder."Moz is a good guy and an absolutely awesome audio dreamscaper.this particular offering is like a sparsely lit tunnel ride through the sporadic exchange of unconscious synapses.trying to desperately to convey a message to the land of the awake.i like this.good and relaxing.great for experimentation.A Sonic Deterrent plays peek-a-boo with cruel distortion and reverb for a grueling exercise in sadistic mechanical overdriving.often short and startling crashes of harsh noise race in and out of this recording. Entertaining.-Neo Barbaric 'zineMOZ "Nikola" c-30 -limited to 44 copies OUT OF PRINT dissonant and deeply resonating harsh noise scapes from this texan artist.comes packaged in cassette shells that are hand sculpted and painted.the first 25 copies were on recycled tapes."presented here for your listening pleasure, are two tracks of self described "harsh noise scapes" recorded over a 30 minute "Choosing Your Own Greatness" motivational tape. the cover is hand decorated with glue and dayglo spray paint.i made it through approximately seven minutes of the fist side before i flipped it over, heard that the other side sounded pretty much the same, took it out of my cassette player, snuck it into the tape player in my brothers truck and turned the volume up full blast.hes gonna shit when he turns his truck on. -Flipside 'zine.
