Artist description Motive, who was named and founded by William Baker took on life as soulful quartet. There collaboration elevated three-part harmony to a new level. Unfortunately, Tragedy struck and Motive lost there most valued member and founder, William Baker. While gaining strength from the ever-present spirit of Billy, Motive continues to stride forward. The group continues to have cross-cultural diversity not found in most contemporary R & B bands. The three part harmonies generated by these young men can only be explained by understanding the pieces that make them whole. The smooth sound of Motive is a refreshing break from the norm.

Artist History Founded in 1998, by William Baker, Motive has become a local favorite on the Hip-Hop and R&B scene. The four friends met and joined forces at their local community church. As members of the choir, they not only brought forth the Holy Spirit and raised the heavy hearts of parishioners, but also developed the foundation of Motive.
