Artist description
With a loud hog squeal, the Buzz Poets begin each road trip in their 34-foot RV, otherwise known as "the PIG", where the setting for many rock and roll tales has been set. Playing over 200 shows per year, hard work and hard fun are what these guys are all about. Largely sold out shows at popular clubs also make for exciting concerts that reflect a sizeable and dedicated group of fans. Adapting their name from the poetic ideology of the 1960’s beat generation, this Pittsburgh-based modern-rock band has been together for five years. These five years represent a time of building recognition and relationships. The Buzz Poets open ears and minds to groundbreaking music. They embody cutting edge sound, style, and attitude.Since their first album, "Planet Buzz", the group has sold over 15, 000 records. Their most recent album, "Pretzel Sex", highlights a remarkable musical exploration into the diverse influences and preferences of the Buzz Poets. "Pretzel Sex" holds historical value to the Buzz Poets’ career, as it symbolizes notable growth and discovery. Rounding out the millennium with two singles at #1 spots on both the pop/rock and alternative charts at mp3.com, the Buzz Poets are in a position they have grown quite accustomed to: on the edge. This group has polished their influences into a mature sound, placing them in a creative niche of their own.The Buzz Poets are now on the verge of releasing their 4th album, which is self-titled. In this album, the Buzz Poets consolidate their rock sound, while preserving the passionately innovative layers that adoring fans have come to expect from a Buzz Poets album. The end product is becoming a profound masterpiece of practical subject matter and established musicality.
