Artist History
The Long History of Kynipshen:
It all started out with Jared Lashbrook (drums), Ryan Pressely (guitar), and Stef
Devencentis (bass). After a while they asked one, Eddie Brainard, to join playing
drums, moving Jared Lashbrook to rhythm guitar, and vocals. At this point, the
line-up was:
Eddie Brainard: drums
Stef Devencentis: bass
Jared Lashbrook: guitar and vocals
Ryan Pressely: lead guitar
A few months went by and it seemed that Ryan was getting tired of the band, so he
cut off all ties with the band. Kynipshen ("The Gas Station Hang-Outs" at the time)
was now a three person band. We played a few parties here and there, and soon
enough the band would be cut down yet again. Stef felt that it was time for her to
depart from the band. The two remaining members of Kynipshen, Jared and Eddie,
spent a good two months looking for anything they could find to make a good
band.
Christopher Chamberlain, a freshmen at the time, was exactly what Kynipshen was
looking for. The band now consisted of Jared Lashbrook, Eddie Brainard, and now
Chris Chamberlain. Now, what is a band without a bass player you ask? Who
knows, oh yeah, thats right, Kynipshen knows, they were without a bass player
for almost four months.
We played for about another month before we found that new fourth member
of the Kynipshen family. Ryan Farrell, yes another Ryan. Ryan joined the band in
September of 2002. The bands new line-up as of this point:
Eddie Brainard: drums
Chris Chamberlain: lead guitar
Ryan Farrell: bass
Jared Lashbrook: guitar and vocals
This was it, finally Kynipshen was a full band. At this point, an idea came to the
mind of Eddie Brainard, Eddie spent many a week contomplating this decision, until
the decision was made. Eddie asked long-time friend, Paul Fenlon, if he would
be interested in becoming part of the Kynipshen family. Paul agreed and joined
on drums. Eddie switched to guitar and Jared focused on singing.
Jared Lashbrook, Eddie Brainard, Chris Chamberlain, Ryan Farrell, and Paul
Fenlon were now Kynipshen. Yet, all good things must come to an end, another
disapointing loss had struck Kynipshen, Chris Chamberlain had left the band. We
were distraught by the loss, but just as every other time, we would get over it.
The band is now what we hope it will remain for a long time. The band's newest line-up is as follows:
Eddie Brainard: guitar
Ryan Farrell: bass
Paul Fenlon: drums
Jared Lashbrook: vocals |
