Artist description
The dictionary defines the word "transfixt" as 'rendered motionless, as with terror, amazement, or awe'. Which is the ultimate goal of this independent alternative metal band from Oakville, Ontario, Canada. In their mid-teens, the boys of Transfixt are developing a new style of music, which is sure to leave people very surprised and entertained. The unique combination of poetic lyrics with catchy riffs and a hardcore presence create an energetic subtext like none other. This raw sound is what elevates this band and sets them aside to make their mark in the metal genre, as well as the rest of the music industry. |

Artist History
Assembled in the summer of 2002, Transfixt knew immediately that they had something special to offer the world, after only one practicing realizing their great chemistry. That chemistry was a key influence in all of their music, as it contributed highly to the creative process. Finding that they worked together well in both slower rock songs, as well as heavy metal, they combined the two and began a journey with their new approach to music. |
