Artist description
This is Chichi is a one woman musical phenomenon. That rare breed: a girl singer/songwriter/multinstrumentalist/producer, she blends the electric sounds of 60s and 70s rock with the sounds of contemporary dance and hiphop;
all neatly underscored with a startingly original approach to songcraft on the acoustic guitar. A veteran of the acoustic music scene in York, England, she can be seen astounding punters at open mic nights or playing drums either with punk rockers Republic of Kings or the very sublime Imij, York university's very own Jimi Hendrix covers band! |

Artist History
About early 2003, Chi-chi of This is Chichi decided it was time she put some of her music and noise on the Internet.
There you go, enjoy. She will stick some more up as soon as she's less busy with finishing an engineering degree. |

Press Reviews
More to come but this one's really sweet:
"I saw Chi-chi do two numbers at the Northern Wall's open mic night this week. She was absolutely, astonishingly, jaw-droppingly good. She was doing things with her guitar that you wouldn't think were possible. Fresh, off-the-wall, exciting and innovative. No disrespect to other BoB competitors, but she's in a league of her own. -Seb"
