Artist History
the likes of which began making music in early 1993. Through many years and many lineup changes, the band has re-worked and changed their sound. Finally, in the year 2000, a new sound emerged and a solid lineup took shape. The sole remaining founding member: jason a. brown with long time member chrisopher bono had put together a collection of songs that were recorded as their first ep: EP4. After adding a drummer and guitarist matthew smith, the band began playing consistantly in Atlanta, GA.
One year later, at the request of many audience members, the band recorded a second ep entitled "the kill you ep". It was released in May of 2002. In August 2002, the band added drummer Jason Pickens and the lineup was complete.
Today, the band is playing everywhere that they can in order to promote "the kill you ep". They have currently been writing a new batch of songs that are heading in another new direction for the bands sound.

Press Reviews
Semifinalists of the contest Top of the Tree III and IV in 2001 and 2002 and this August's Atlanta representative of Lexington, Kentucky's 2002 Midwest Music Conference, The Likes of Which brings their lushly textured, melodic, and passionate sound to their fans once again, this time by request. Many of their listeners at recent shows wished to hear the tune, "All I Want to Do is Kill You" in cd form. Because of their appreciation to the fan base that has always stayed beside them, The Likes of Which went ahead and put together their second EP, The Kill You Ep. The group from Atlanta consists of bassist and lead singer Jason A. Brown, whose delivery is filled with raw emotional power and passionate energy. Chris Bono feeds off Brown's electricity with charging and pulsating guitar crunches, with a variety of effects, distortion and chorus sounds. Matthew Smith adds greater dynamics and intensity on second guitar, with Jason Pickens providing resonance and percussive furry on the drums. The overall feeling and vibe of the EP is one of passion, flair and the music and lyrics delivered is by far creative and innovative. Their influences of British rock, Pink Floyd and Radiohead can be heard in much of the material. Stick around, this bunch from Atlanta has a superb future, and if a feature album is on the way, with their talent and ability, the result should be promising. The melodic and emotional single "Carrie" is currently featured on the "Dewar's Rocks" compilation cd pitched at the 2002 Atlantis Music Festival.
