Artist History
Born in Queens, N.Y. Rob played drums in several bands throughout high school and college, including "Bay", "Rage", "Slipstream", "Tasty Licks" and "Not Us You". In 1980, Rob and his band "Not Us You" opened for "Orleans" on the big stage where Rob's song "Southern Wind" gained kudos backstage from the lead singer "Orleans". Rob fired up his acoustic gig and played area hotspots in Vero Beach, FL and many Ground Round Restaurants in New England. He later settled in upstate New York and became a local favorate at legendary venues such as The Lark Tavern in Albany, NY following in the footsteps of Bob Dylan, Don McLean & Arlo Guthrey. In 1990, Rob hit the city to test the waters at the "The Back Fence" in Greenich Village under the wing of successful recording artist Eugene Ruffolo. He has recently returned to "The Back Fence" to re-visit the old stumpin' grounds and was well received on July 1st of 2002. Last fall, Rob played the circuit in the Houston, TX area under the Dennis Lange Agency and appeared at the annual Katy Rice Harvest Festival where he met his current sound technician, Brad Turney. |
