Artist History
The Brian Patneaude Quartet was formed in the spring of 2002 as part of an ongoing Sunday night residency at Justin's in Albany, NY. Over the course of several months the group assembled a songbook of original compositions with a handful of obscure jazz standards thrown in for good measure. Positive audience reaction persuaded the band to take their endeavors into the recording studio and 2003 will see the release of "Variations" (WEPA Records), the quartet's debut album. The group has branched out it's performance opportunities with shows at One Caroline St and 9 Maple Ave. in Saratoga, The Larkin in Albany, Wallabee's Jazz Bar in Glens Falls and a performance at last year's "Lark Fest" in Albany.

Press Reviews
"Most jazz musicians seem to be constantly complaining about the lack of venues for their venues, but not the Brian Patneaude Quartet. Saxman Patneaude keeps the combo hopping on a regular basis, and this weekend finds them spanning the region as they gear up for the release of their debut CD, "Variations" on WEPA Records. You can check them on Friday @ Wallabee's in Glens Falls, One Caroline Street in Saratoga Springs on Saturday and Justin's in Albany on Sunday."
